Yakima, Washington Fall Wedding
Alissa and Tim's beautiful fall wedding in Yakima, Washington, was a magical celebration filled with love, laughter, and nods to their favorite trilogy, The Lord of the Rings. The historic Grace of Christ Church provided a stunning backdrop for their vows, reminiscent of Hogwarts with its grand architecture. Special details, like Alissa's Arwen-inspired bouquet and Tim's broken sword tie clip, added a touch of fantasy to the affair. The Yakima Convention Center hosted a lively reception, while the golden hour at the Yakima Arboretum provided a breathtaking backdrop for sunset photos. Despite the rain, the vibrant sunset painted the sky in hues of gold and pink, creating timeless images. The Venue
We had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful fall wedding in Yakima, Washington for Alissa and Tim. The ceremony took place at the historic Grace of Christ Church, where the bride and groom exchanged their vows surrounded by family and friends. This stunning historic church was the perfect Yakima wedding venue for the couple to tie the knot. Its grand architecture and rich history reminded us of Hogwarts, creating a magical atmosphere for celebration.
Special details
Included in their details as a nod to their favorite trilogy, The Lord of the Rings, was a bouquet reminiscent of Arwen's ethereal grace adorned with the Evenstar Pendant Arwen gifted Aragorn in The Fellowship of the Ring. Tim’s details also included the king’s broken sword as a tie clip. And in place of a traditional floral boutonniere, Tim and his groomsmen wore elven leaf brooches.
The Reception
After the ceremony, the celebration continued at the Yakima Convention Center. The reception was a lively affair, with music, dancing, and delicious food. The Yakima Convention Center made for a wonderful wedding reception space providing a black tie ballroom feel. Perfectly complimenting the classy and timeless theme of the couple’s special day.
Golden hour at the Arboretum
As the sun began to set, we made our way to the Yakima Arboretum for some stunning sunset wedding photos. Even though it rained most of the day we got lucky with a vibrant golden pink sunset - the perfect way to end our time together and create timeless images that they will cherish forever.
Being able to document such a special day for Alissa and Tim was such an honor.
